Solar thrives on desert sun, but desert air carries dust, pollen, and fine grit that settle on panels and shade the cells beneath. The film builds so gradually most owners never notice the production slipping; the electric bill notices for them. That’s why most panel manufacturers recommend professional cleaning at least twice a year.
